WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Independent Women announced that Olympic bobsled champion Kaillie Humphries has joined the organization’s ambassador program, adding a powerful voice to the fight for women’s rights and opportunities.

A champion for both Canada and the United States, Humphries has won three Olympic gold medals and two Olympic bronze medals throughout her storied career, cementing her legacy as one of the greatest bobsled athletes in history.

As an Independent Women ambassador, Humphries will advocate for and advance policies that protect women’s spaces, safeguard women’s opportunities, and strengthen American families. Later this year, she will sit down with Independent Women’s Features (IW Features), Independent Women’s grassroots storytelling and original journalism arm, to share her personal infertility journey and discuss why she supports patient-centered healthcare policies that improve access to in vitro fertilization (IVF) by empowering patients and reducing barriers to care.

Earlier this year, Humphries joined President Trump at the White House for a Women’s History Month event highlighting his administration’s efforts to expand access to IVF and improve healthcare transparency through the Great Healthcare Plan. Notably during the event, Humphries gave the prestigious Order of Ikkos medal to President Trump.

Kaillie Humphries, Independent Women ambassador and Olympic champion, said: “As an IW ambassador I have an opportunity to showcase my story and help change the future through shared experiences. I am excited for this opportunity and look forward to becoming a part of positive change.”

Victoria Coley, Independent Women’s senior vice president for communications, said: “Champions don’t stop competing when they leave the podium, they find new arenas to make a difference. Kaillie represents everything Independent Women’s Ambassador Program is built around—courage, resilience, and a willingness to speak up to make a real difference. She has lived firsthand the impact public policy can have on women. Kaillie brings authenticity and credibility that will help Americans better understand why these issues matter.”

PROTECT HER LEGACY

Humphries brings her perspective to Independent Women at a critical moment for female athletes. Last week, the Supreme Court upheld laws protecting women’s sports in West Virginia v. B.P.J. and Little v. Hecox—a major victory for sex-based rights and a historic win for women.

Humphries appears regularly as a guest on Newsmax and across news outlets.

In a new op-ed for Fox News and OutKick, Humphries highlighted the importance of the Supreme Court’s ruling: Identity is not the same as biology. The Supreme Court agrees. She writes, in part:

“Sports aren’t only measured by gold medals. Even the 10th place spot can determine someone’s future. Even Justice Kavanaugh acknowledged that sports are a zero-sum game. Every opportunity won by one competitor is an opportunity another loses. For a lot of girls across the country, their spot was bumped because a man came through and took it away from them—and it’s astonishing that this was allowed to happen in the first place.”

TELL HER STORY, CHANGE THE WORLD

Independent Women’s ambassador program fills a long-standing gap in the conservative movement: a trusted, professional pathway for everyday Americans with extraordinary stories to be trained, supported, and strategically positioned where their voices matter most.

By elevating first-person narratives and detailing the real, powerful human cost of bad policy—as well as the tangible benefits of sound policy—Independent Women ambassadors bring clarity to complex debates. Through national media, legislative testimony, public events, and grassroots engagement, they help reshape public understanding and influence policy decisions at every level of government.

With the backing of Independent Women’s policy, communications, legal, and grassroots teams, ambassadors are prepared to engage confidently with lawmakers, reporters, and communities, extending their reach beyond what would be possible alone.

In addition to Humphries, the 2026 Independent Women ambassador class also includes: Allie Coghan, Amie Ichikawa, Claire Abernathy, Linnea Saltz, Luke Healy, Madisan DeBos, Payton McNabb, Prisha Mosley, and Soren Aldaco.
