Competitive sport is a zero-sum game where some athletes make the cut, and others do not; someone wins, and others lose. In a zero-sum competition, the inclusion of male athletes in women’s sport inevitably means that females lose out.

As the number of male athletes seeking to compete on women’s teams and in women’s events grows, the risks to female athletes also grow. Claims to the contrary deny science, defy logic, and undermine Title IX.

In the Third Edition of “Competition: Title IX, Male Athletes, and the Threat To Women’s Sports,” Independent Women Law Center and Independent Women synthesize the science and explain the changing legal landscape and the future of female athletics.

Let’s not erase women’s hard-earned gains.

Sign the original FAIR PLAY petition with over 100,000 signatures to protect women’s sports.

Sign the Petition: We can’t ignore biological differences when it comes to sports. Allowing male athletes to compete with female athletes puts women’s physical safety at risk and takes away valuable opportunities for women and girls to participate in and win sporting competitions. I demand rules that protect fair play.
