Teachers are advancing students to the next grade, without basic reading skills. Chronic absenteeism is going unchecked and disruptive behavior is being ignored. Meanwhile, parents are increasingly cut out of critical decisions about their own children.

Our children deserve better.

We call on New Mexico leaders to:

• Protect parental rights and transparency in schools
• End ideological indoctrination in education

Parents should be the primary decision maker in their children’s lives. Let’s return schools to teaching and academic excellence, not pushing ideology and indoctrination.
