America’s medical system offers some of the highest quality care available in the world. This is one reason people from other countries often travel here to receive care. But our system is far from perfect. Too often, government intervention and issues related to payment take autonomy and decision-making out of the hands of doctors and patients, where they belong. We should remove unnecessary regulation in health care that often increases cost and limits the supply of services. And we should work to ensure that America’s top-notch healthcare services are available and affordable to all Americans in a vibrant, innovative marketplace.
