Our First Amendment guarantees free speech, a free press, free exercise of religion, the right to assemble, and the right to petition the government. Too often, however, these rights are threatened (culturally, if not legally) by the forces of political correctness, particularly on college campuses. Defending these rights, even when they are exercised by those with whom we disagree vociferously, is one of the things that makes us a truly exceptional nation.
