WASHINGTON D.C. — As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, Independent Women is launching a nationwide campaign to celebrate America’s exceptionalism and advance the enduring promise of self-determination.

The initiative calls on Americans to reflect on the nation’s founding ideals, honor the women who shaped its history, share their own stories, and step forward to shape what comes next.

“For 250 years, American women have been the example for the rest of the world. Today, we live in a country where women are free to pursue their own vision of happiness, and we are still a work in progress. We want to create more and better options for women—that’s our mission at Independent Women,” said Meaghan Mobbs, director of the Center for American Safety and Security at Independent Women. 

“There are places in the world where women once enjoyed freedom and lost it. We are not going to let that happen here. This is our national inheritance. Preserving it—and expanding it—is our cause, so that future generations of Americans will not only enjoy the freedoms we have today but will live flourishing, abundant lives as truly free and independent women.”
