WASHINGTON, DC — As households across the country navigate rising costs, policymakers and advocates are elevating solutions that put more money back into the pockets of working families. At a House GOP Conference roundtable today, Independent Women underscored how the Working Families Tax Cuts are already delivering meaningful financial relief. aimed at delivering financial relief through lowering tax burdens and allowing Americans to keep more of what they earn ahead of Tax Day.
Kaylee McGhee White, new mother and editor-in-chief of Independent Women’s Features (IW Features), joined lawmakers to share how the Working Families Tax Cuts (the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act) is making a tangible difference for her family.
“Two policies in particular have impacted my family,” said Kaylee McGhee White. “Because of the Working Families Tax package, my family will now see an expanded child tax credit in our returns, which is going to help us rebuild from the inflation and damage the Biden administration wrought on our economy. We’ve also been able to set up a Trump account for [my son] and give him a financial head start in life and the stability to pursue whatever he ends up wanting to do. These provisions give families like mine the ability to keep more of what they earn and use it for the thing that matters more than anything else, which is our children’s wellbeing.”
Chairwoman McClain emphasized the broader impact of the legislation, noting that policies like these are restoring opportunity and rewarding hard work for millions of Americans, “Today’s roundtable was a great reminder of who Republicans are fighting for. We heard directly from hardworking Americans, parents, and small business owners who are seeing real relief because House Republicans fought for the Working Families Tax Cuts. We delivered bigger refunds, bigger paychecks, and more breathing room for the people who work hard every day and deserve to keep more of what they earn.” McClain said.

As the Trump administration advances its affordability agenda and expands tax relief, Independent Women is continuing to elevate the voices of everyday Americans whose lives to illustrate how the administration is helping Americans keep more of their paychecks, manage rising costs, and find greater financial stability.
