WASHINGTON, D.C. — Independent Women’s Center for American Safety and Security issued the following statements supporting President Donald J. Trump’s decision to carry out strikes on Iran and follow through on his peace-through-strength promise to America:
Meaghan Mobbs, director of Independent Women’s Center for American Safety and Security, said:
“I stand unequivocally with President Trump and his decision to strike Iran.
“For years the Iranian regime terrorized the region through its proxies, threatening our forces and allies and fueling violence across the Middle East. Its actions undermined stability and directly endangered American interests. The United States pursued multiple diplomatic pathways and chose to respond with force only when Iran refused to give up its nuclear ambition.
“A regime that chants “Death to America” cannot be entrusted with the capacity to carry out that threat.
“No other power stepped in militarily to defend Tehran. Russia issued criticism, but has not confronted the U.S., and China has kept its support limited to diplomatic statements while avoiding direct intervention.
“This moment reminds the world once again that there is one superpower, capable of defending freedom and deterring aggression.
“God bless our troops, and God bless America.”
Dr. Qanta Ahmed, Independent Women senior fellow, said:
“At this moment, as Senior fellow with Independent Women, as a proud American, and as an observing, Muslim committed to combating radical Islam, I join my colleagues in saluting President Trump for his moral courage and bravery at taking this extraordinarily difficult decision. The Iranian people deserve liberty from the tyranny of this unspeakably cruel Iranian regime that has incarcerated them in repression for almost 50 years. Over 40,000 American troops are in harm’s way as they give the Iranian people a definitive opportunity to lift the yolk of the Iranian regime and achieve the freedom and dignity they so richly deserve.
“In the first hours of this conflict, Iran has struck Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar, Jordan, the UAE ( and some reports Saudi Arabia)–7 sovereign nations in a single morning. This has changed the regional balance forever; there remains no more ‘neutrality’. This is a regime that has reached the end of its reign of terror.
“We know the price is very high for the American people, our valiant sons and brave daughters in uniform, and for the long-suffering Iranian people, yet the cause is worthy. President Trump has taken an extraordinarily difficult decision with great consideration and clarity. We are at a defining moment for his legacy and for that of the United States. Godspeed to all the Americans who are serving and stand shoulder to shoulder with the Iranian people, and all our allies, both Arab and Israeli.”
Ellie Cohanim, Independent Women senior fellow and Iranian refugee, said:

“For half a century the radical Islamic Republic Regime has held the Iranian people and the entire Middle East hostage with its hegemonic-Islamist aspirations. Thanks to President Trump, the world can finally be rid of this evil threat. Peace now finally has a chance.
“The Iranian people—my sisters and brothers in Iran-finally have the opportunity to take our proud country back from the Mullah lunatics. The region will soon be able to breathe a sigh of relief and move towards stability and co-existence.
“The children of America soon will no longer have to worry about a nuclear armed radical Islamic regime who could destroy their futures. We are grateful beyond words. What a time to be alive!”
