WASHINGTON, D.C. — Independent Women’s Center for American Safety and Security issued the following response to the agreement between Israel and Hamas on the first phase of President Trump’s Gaza peace plan, which will begin with the release of all hostages and the withdrawal of Israeli troops.

Meaghan Mobbs, director of Independent Women’s Center for American Safety and Security, said:

“Independent Women welcomes today’s breakthrough agreement and the long-awaited commitment to release every hostage.

“Their freedom has been a moral imperative from the beginning—an essential first step toward any durable peace.

“We commend President Trump’s leadership and resolve that made this possible and the nations that helped bring both parties to the table. Every innocent life held in captivity is a reminder of the stakes of this conflict and of the enduring human cost of terror.

“Let this moment be more than an intermission in suffering; let it be the first act in a true reckoning—justice for the victims, accountability for those who abduct, and protection for the innocent. 

“This is one major step forward only made possible by a commitment to peace through strength.”
