KAUKAUNA, WI – Today, Gabriella Hoffman, director of Independent Women’s Center for Energy and Conservation, joined Congressman Tom Tiffany and Congressman Tony Wied in participating in the AFP’s National Permitting Reform Tour, highlighting the need to streamline America’s broken permitting process and build on President Trump’s bold executive actions to restore U.S. energy dominance.

President Trump has made clear his commitment to cutting red tape and unleashing American energy. His recent executive orders prioritize faster approval of energy projects, boosting infrastructure construction, and revitalizing the nation’s path toward energy abundance.

At the “Reignite the American Dream” roundtable, lawmakers and energy experts—including Hoffman—underscored why Congress must act to codify these reforms into law. Key points included:

  • Wisconsin jobs and industries are harmed by federal permitting delays that stall critical projects and weaken energy security;
  • Regulatory certainty is essential for investment, growth, and long-term stability in energy production, and;
  • Families and consumers benefit directly—permitting reform reduces energy prices and strengthens reliability across the board.

Gabriella Hoffman, director of Independent Women’s Center for Energy and Conservation, said:

“Independent Women’s Center for Energy and Conservation was delighted to partake in today’s permitting reform panel in Wisconsin. Modernizing permitting reform will allow our nation to fulfill its energy abundance goals. More domestic energy and mining projects are needed to help meet rising electricity demand and to reduce our reliance on foreign adversaries. American industries abide by the strictest environmental standards. Economic prosperity and conservation aren’t mutually exclusive. That’s why a majority of Americans now support permitting reform. It’s time to build more in America again.”

Congressman Tom Tiffany (R-WI) said:

“Thank you, Independent Women’s Forum, for being here in Wisconsin and for making permitting reform a priority in the United States. We need as many voices as possible to get this done, and a big thanks to Gabby for leading the effort.”

Congressman Tony Wied (R-WI) said:

“Thank you, Gabby and Independent Women’s Forum, for gathering and putting together groups of stakeholders, and for working to educate Americans on permitting reform and promoting the importance of energy dominance and resilience.”

Independent Women’s Center for Energy and Conservation will continue to advocate for energy abundance with a new report being released in October, authored by Gabriella Hoffman.

The “Energy Abundance: How America Can Lead the World in Energy Production While Creating a Better, Cleaner Environment” report will cover:

  • The current state of our energy abundance on a state and federal level;
  • Why reducing energy demand is a detrimental approach;
  • The shortcomings in prioritizing renewable energy and net-zero policies; and
  • The need to boost domestic energy production by cutting red tape, imposing fewer regulations, and allowing equal access to leases on public lands and waters.
