“We are heartbroken at the death of Charlie Kirk, who was not just an unbelievable political force but a devoted father and husband.
“Kirk was dedicated to free speech, civil debate and deeply loved our country. He leaves behind a legacy of millions of young men and women whose minds he helped open to new ideas and embrace the principles that have made our country great.
“We pray for and grieve with his wife, children, family and all who loved and valued him. And we can honor him best as he would have wanted: by turning this tragedy into a source of inspiration and motivation to redouble our efforts to make this country, and this culture, strong and healthy again.”
