“This is a turning point in restoring sanity, and a victory for truth.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Independent Women applauds the Trump administration for its decisive leadership in protecting children from chemical and surgical mutilation. In response to President Trump’s week one executive order banning federal funding, sponsorship, assistance, or facilitation of so-called “gender-affirming care” for minors, major hospitals and medical institutions—including Yale New Haven Health and Connecticut Children’s Medical Center—have announced they will comply and no longer perform these controversial procedures on children.

This marks a growing national trend as hospitals and clinics across the country course correct—reassessing and abandoning practices once championed by activist ideologues but now widely questioned by parents, whistleblowers, and detransitioners alike.

President Trump’s executive order has catalyzed a wave of compliance nationwide, signaling what may be the most significant rollback yet of radical gender medicine targeting America’s youth.

Beth Parlato, senior legal advisor for Independent Women’s Law Center, said:

“President Trump has turned his promise to protect our children from irreversible chemical and surgical mutilation into concrete, life-saving results. The growing list of hospitals and health systems across the country that are halting these dangerous procedures proves that leadership matters. I commend President Trump for his conviction and unwavering commitment to protecting America’s youth. No child should be subjected to irreversible, life-altering procedures, nor should a child be a test subject in a political experiment. This is a turning point in restoring sanity, and a victory for truth.”

Prisha Mosley, detransitioner and Independent Women ambassador, said:

“This is not about politics, it’s about protecting vulnerable children from the irreversible harm of chemical and surgical mutilation. I’m glad to see the momentum of so many hospitals and medical centers recognizing this reality and following suit. As a detransitioner who has experienced the harms of gender ideology firsthand, I applaud President Trump’s leadership and dedication to putting an end to this madness and restoring truth, science, and sanity.”

Through its “Identity Crisis” series, Independent Women Features (IW Features), the grassroots storytelling and original journalism arm of Independent Women, continues to tell the stories about so-called “gender-affirming care” that the mainstream media has discounted, dismissed, and ignored for too long. Bringing to the forefront the raw stories of medical professionals, parents, and detransitioners, IW Features continues to shed light on the crippling dangers of gender ideology and its toll on America’s youth.

Claire Abernathy, detransitioner and subject in “Identity Crisis”, joined The Ingraham Angle this month to discuss President Trump’s executive order and Los Angeles Children’s Hospital closing its “Center for Transyouth Health and Development and Gender-Affirming Care.”

From “top surgery,” nipples peeling off, clitoral growth, trapped milk ducts, and hairy bodies, “Identity Crisis” documentaries bring to light the graphic stories of young adults now reckoning with the physical and emotional scars of gender ideology:
